EDUCATION

Education of young children has been deeply disturbed by the ongoing conflict and regular attacks by the Burmese Army on villages inside the Burma.  Children in the refugee camps have been able to benefit from some improved educational facilities and some parents will send their children to the safety of the camps, in part, to enable them to receive a better education. One problem is the shortage of teachers so recent educational activity includes the training of students to teach the younger children.

Inside Burma schools are aften struggling to survive. In the Internally Displaced areas schools are sometimes very temporary due to the need to keep away from military activity by the Burmese Army.
